This website is intended as a free global "One-Stop" maritime employment search service ( portal / directory ) website for all maritime personnel ( inexperienced and experienced ), who are searching for new employment or, who just want to know what jobs are available and what other employers are paying now.

I am not a recruiting agent, my aim is to provide a source of self-help for those who are looking for maritime career opportunities. This website is completely independent and receives neither subsidiaries nor any monetary support from any shipping companies, organizations, or institutions anywhere in the world.

To make it easier for you to find the kind of job you are looking for, I have divided the pages on this site according to what kind of jobs respective agent is mainly handling.

Job seekers should not have to pay to be able to apply for a job. Neither should they have to pay anything to get a job. One should always get a job on merit / experience / skills only, not because one happens to have extra cash available.

Many of the recruiting agents handle, of course, for instance offshore and shore based jobs, but those that are handling mainly offshore jobs are on the Offshore Job Links page, while those who handle mainly land based jobs are on the Marine-Maritime Job Links page.

Agencies handling both sea and land based jobs are likewise on the Marine-Maritime Job Links page. Those that handle only sea based jobs ( seagoing vacancies onboard ships ) are as far as possible on the Cargo Ship Job Links page.

Even this is not always neither clear cut nor constant and in some instances you can find the same recruitment agent / employer listed on two or more separate pages for different kinds of employment vacancies.

I received a note some time ago from one of the visitors: "I like this site, simple, clean, accurate and informative !". That's how I want to keep it. If anyone, however, happens to notice any inaccuracy, please tell me. Some details can change without my knowledge.

Due to popular demand I have collected all employment links suitable especially for Filipino seamen on one page, see Menu to the left.

Deck and engine crew should look not only at Cargo Ship Jobs, but also on Cruise Liner Jobs and Offshore Jobs. For instance, for a motorman the work is not much different whether he is on a cargo ship, a cruise liner, or an offshore anchor handling supply vessel.

All employment links on this site are carefully selected. They are believed, but not guaranteed, to be straight working and honest companies. If  ANYONE  gets problems with one of them please inform me.

Since this site was started, March 01 in 2001, I have received only two complaints about any listed recruiters. Those two have been de-listed. For your own safety, use only legitimate recruiting agents.

Links exchange: please send an e-mail with a short description of your site + URL. Use the e-mail link below. After checking your site I will decide whether it is suitable for this directory or not. Your website must be in the maritime sector. See McAfee Site Advisor Safety Report for this website.

There are several employment-money scams ( fake job offers ) targeting seamen, see Nigerian and Other Employment-Money Scam Examples in the menu to the left.

Have you right now experienced problems finding correct information, especially on Bing and Yahoo ! ? - Go to List of Search Engines.

On April 14, 2007, I received the administration of the International Maritime Web Ring into my tender care. The International Maritime Webring is therefore now a part of this website.

Please note: Every link on this site opens in a new window. If your "Pop-up killer" is too efficient it can also stop new windows. When this happens, please press "Ctrl" and click on the link you want.

Every page on this site can be equally enjoyed in hand held devices, such as Nokia Communicator 9300.
